A survey was carried out on health professionals to assess their knowledge of the medical standards of fitness to drive (FTD) and their advice to patients.. Most said they had good knowledge of the DVLA guidelines and how to access information, but not of whose role it is to give advice to patients and who has the legal responsibility to do so.
